I have been chipping away at my YouTube certifications and one of the most interesting ones so far is how to create great content. I have learned some great tips for creating memorable content for your audience and I would love to share it with you!
Here are three great tips that can help you build your audience and create amazing content.
Get in the Head of Your Audience
Without content that people are going to find compelling, your videos or series will go nowhere. Figuring out what your audience wants to watch will greatly improve your view count, watch time and, hopefully, overall subscriber count. Try and look at a similar YouTube channel and see what people are watching and commenting on. This will help you gauge what kind of content you want to create and the type of content that audiences crave.
Create Timely Content
Do you have an interest in something that is popular? It probably has a place on YouTube. Seek out popular topics and create videos that engage with your audience in that way will keep them coming back to you. Another great thing you can do is pick topics that are trending. If you spot a trending topic you think would make an interesting video, try and make a video on it. Chances are there are other people that find out about it too.
Speak to Your Audience
How are you doing today? You look great! People love hearing about themselves, it’s just the way we are programmed as humans. Talking to your audience and asking them questions throughout helps involve them in your channel. Another way you can interact with your audience is by asking them to subscribe, comment and turn on the notification bell.
One channel that does this particularly well is Epic Rap Battles of History. They end every video with the questions: “Who Won?” “Who’s Next?” “You Decide!” This helps keep their audience engaged and coming back for more content.
